Privacy policy

SingCope is a community app for choirs: calendar, projects, repertoire, files, messages and choir administration. This page explains what personal data SingCope stores, why, and what your rights are. SingCope is operated by Popweb (CVR 33691963, kontakt@popweb.dk), which is the data controller for the service.
What we store
Your account: name, e-mail address and password (stored as a secure hash), plus whatever optional details you or your choir add — such as a calling name, phone number, birthday, address and profile photo. Your choir's content: events and your responses to them, wall posts, comments, private messages, files, polls, projects and repertoire. If your choir uses the accounting module, the choir's bookkeeping entries are stored too. Technical data: sign-in tokens, a log of sign-ins, your device's push-notification token, and your language and display preferences.
How we use it
Only to run SingCope: showing the right content to the right choir members, sending the notifications you have chosen (in-app, push and e-mail), and managing the choir's subscription. There is no advertising, no profiling, no third-party analytics — and we never sell data.
Who we share it with
Your content is visible to the members of your choir according to the app's rules (private messages, for example, only to their participants). We use a few service providers to run SingCope: Stripe processes subscription payments (your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers), Apple and Google deliver push notifications to your device, and our e-mails are sent through Simply.com. Beyond this we disclose data only if the law requires it.
Storage and security
SingCope runs on servers hosted at UpCloud, a European hosting provider. All traffic between your device and SingCope is encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored as salted hashes and can not be read by anyone. Access to the servers is restricted to the people who operate the service.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Technical logs and delivered notifications are cleaned up automatically. If you want your account and personal data deleted, contact us at kontakt@popweb.dk (or ask your choir's administrator) — and on request we will give you a copy of your data.
Children and guardians
Choirs can mark members as children. A child member's account is linked to a parent or guardian, who approves the link by e-mail, can act on the child's behalf and controls what the child can do in the app. A child can not sign in without an active guardian.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal data, and you can object to our processing of it. Write to kontakt@popweb.dk. You can also complain to your local data protection authority (in Denmark: Datatilsynet).
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the new version is published on this page with an updated date.
